For the Networks or Community Health Centers that are on a Citrix Network. We use a third party product called Microsoft "Office Communicator" it runs seemless via Citrix.

An inter-office messaging system would be best suited using a third party application rather than Dentrix building it on their own. There are plenty of free services available.

Yes. It is $20 - $40 per user (one-time) depending on # of licenses. There are free alternatives, like running a jabber server. http://www.jabber.org/ At many Dentrix Enterprise installations not all users are using Dentrix Enterprise. Some people are in Quickbooks all day. Some are in e-mail all day. Medical doctors at a clinic might be in a medical program all day. So having chat put into Dentrix Enterprise might not work well in large places with a lot of staff.
